The guys at WordPress.com have released a useful stats plugin for the self-hosted wordpress installations.

This nifty little plugin gives you all the statistics about your visitors that matter to (most of) you. What’s more, all the data is processed on the WordPress.com servers, so it’s fast and doesn’t burden your own hosting computers.

And like Akismet, you need your WordPress.com API key to utilise this plugin.

yeah, it has all the basic stats that you need.
