I guess it’s that time of the year again when I say that I’m going to slow down on the blogging for a little while, for let’s say, two weeks.
Just think of this as the season finale.
For next season, we’re going to have more action, more suspense and [...]
The provisional examinations timetable was released last evening. In a way, I was delighted because these timetables operate as wake-up calls for us, students; and boy do I need one.
I only wish they’d published it earlier.
See, the timetables are like those signboards you see on highways that warn you there will be a toll plaza [...]
It was the final day of midterms. To avoid the infamous Dublin rush hour, I outrageously left the house at seven in the morning. I arrived early with an hour to spare, so early that the exam hall was locked. What else was there to do for me other than flicking through the mishmash of [...]
I guess I’m at the point in my medical education where I start to realize that a lot can go wrong with our bodies. Virtually all of our cells can mutate, bones can break, blood vessels can rupture, our own immune system can go astray, enzymes can be repressed, bacteria can mess with the organs, [...]
I have just endured four consecutive weeks of constant exams and tests comprising of approximately seven papers. Now I need a breather.
How good would it be right now if I can stroll along a sunny tropical beach enjoying the sea and sun without a worry in the world. But I guess ‘no pain, no [...]

Intense stuff, but [...]
this semester, as part of the new modularization initiative, we need to choose one elective module from the oodles of courses offered by all campuses, in addition to the core modules we’re committed to. horizons, that’s the fancy name they gave to this modularization effort.

not so long ago, i was chilling out with a fellow medical student and somehow we went on talking about our main reasons of taking up medicine. you know what he said?
he told me half-jokingly about his next [...]
as i was walking to the kitchen to make yet another cup of coffee, i saw this note taped on a pillow in my housemate’s room. at first i just laughed at it, but when i was stirring my caffeine-filled beverage, suddenly it hit me. how true it is. students here do battle everyday on [...]

i’m sure you’re familiar of the feeling i’m having right now. it’s the feeling you get for a few days after the exam. the feeling of freedom and content. the feeling that’s gonna last only until the results come out.
